Onze Sencha wordt gemaakt van gewaardeerde theestruikcultivars, waaronder Saemidori en Okumidori, en is een blend van de eerste en tweede oogst van biologische boerderijen op het eiland Kyushu in het zuiden van Japan.
This is the first tea I've tried that's a blend of first and second flush harvests, and the balance is perfect. The Saemidori and Okumidori cultivars give it a sweetness that lasts even after it cools. Already added it to my weekly rotation.
Brewed this for the first time this afternoon and the blend of first and second flush harvests gives it a nice balance of grassy and slightly sweet notes. It steeps a lovely pale green and doesn't turn bitter even when I got distracted and left it a minute too long.
The Saemidori and Okumidori cultivars really shine here — there's a grassy freshness that lingers nicely without any bitterness. I brew it a bit cooler than usual and it's become my afternoon ritual.
