The first steep already gave me that deep garnet color and a smoothness that coats the whole mouth—no bitterness at all. I’ve been brewing it a second time and it still holds that mellow, earthy sweetness beautifully.
The liquor is so dark and dense it almost looks black in the cup, yet it drinks incredibly smooth with that rich earthy sweetness. I’ve had a few cakes that turned bitter on the second steep, but this one stayed mellow right through.
The first steep came out that deep garnet color the listing promised, and the liquor is so dense it coats the cup. It drinks silky smooth with that earthy richness, but the mellow sweetness on the finish is what really got me. Already looking forward to the next session with this cake.
