The back handle is a game-changer for pouring—my wrist doesn’t strain at all even with a full pot. That built-in clay filter catches every last leaf, so my cup stays perfectly clear. It’s quickly become my daily brewer.
The unglazed shudei clay feels warm and almost velvety in the hand, and the back-facing handle makes pouring effortless without burning my knuckles. First brew came out perfectly clear with zero grit thanks to that ceramesh filter.
The back handle takes a minute to get used to, but once you do, pouring is incredibly smooth and dripless. The unglazed clay really does bring out a softer, rounder flavor in my sencha, and the built-in filter means I never wrestle with a metal strainer again.
