Matcha Gyokuro

I’ve been trying to find a green tea with that deep umami kick, and this one nails it—the creamy finish actually lingers on the palate. It’s smooth enough to sip plain, no bitterness at all. Almost feels like a treat rather than a daily brew.

The mouthfeel is what got me—it's genuinely silky, almost creamy, and that umami punch lingers well after each sip. I've tried a lot of greens, and none have delivered this level of smoothness without any bitterness.

This is the first green tea where the umami actually lingers on my tongue instead of disappearing after the first sip, and the creamy finish is almost dessert-like. I brewed it whisked with a splash of oat milk and it was pure silk. Already planning my next cup.
