Our organic Earl Grey combines robust and fruity Thai black tea with mellow, caramel sweet Yunnan Dian Hong. This original blend perfectly complements the floral high notes of geranium and rose found in our first-pressing bergamot essential oil.
The caramel sweetness from the Yunnan Dian Hong balances the black tea’s bite perfectly, and the floral notes stay present without overpowering the cup. I brewed it twice and the second steep was just as flavorful, which surprised me for a blend this delicate.
The geranium and rose notes really lift the floral character without getting perfumey, and the Thai black base gives it a nice fruity bite that carries through the finish. Brewed this as my afternoon pot and the caramel from the Dian Hong lingers just enough to keep it cozy.
The caramel sweetness from the Dian Hong really balances the brisk Thai black tea, and it steeps to a deep, coppery red that smells like a garden. I've been drinking it every afternoon with a splash of milk, and the geranium touch makes it feel fancier than my usual cuppa.
