Bright, aromatic and citrusy with a malty finish. We brew heirloom varieties of high-grown black tea from the Golden Triangle of Southeast Asia with zesty and floral California lemons and tangy, caramelized “black lemons” sourced from the jungles of Guatemala. Black Lemon is super energizing, aromatic and quenches the palate.
Iced this in a big glass with a lemon wheel and the citrus really pops against that malty black tea base. The California lemon flavor tastes fresh, not artificial, and it brews up bright without getting bitter.
That malty finish is what sold me — it balances the lemony zing perfectly, so it doesn't taste like a fruit bomb. I brewed a pot this morning and the aroma alone brightened up the kitchen.
The citrus really comes through bright and clean, but that malty finish on the back end is what keeps me coming back for another cup. I’ve been brewing it iced in the afternoons and it’s become the only thing that cuts through the heat without turning bitter.
