Genyu Hohin 찻주전자

The glaze feels wonderfully smooth in my hand, and the pour is so precise that not a single drop escapes. It's brought out a rich, almost sweet depth in my gyokuro that my old pot never managed.

Brewed my first sencha in this last night and the umami came through noticeably rounder, not sharp or bitter like my old pot. The pour is controlled and the glaze cleans up quickly with just hot water, which I appreciate for every day use.

The glazed earthenware is so smooth to the touch, and it really does deepen the savory notes of my gyokuro—the mouthfeel turned almost silky. I’ve used it every morning since it arrived and the umami comes through stronger than in my old pot.
