Brewed a cup this morning and that chrysanthemum sweetness really comes through, so much softer than the usual grassy white teas. The buds are plump and covered in fine down, and they unfurl beautifully over three steeps. This one's earned a permanent spot in my morning rotation.
That first steep smells exactly like chrysanthemum candy, which I wasn’t expecting from a white tea — it’s delicate but unmistakable. The buds are incredibly fuzzy and the brew stays sweet through three infusions.
The silvery-white trichomes are so dense they look like frost, and the first steep gives off that sweet chrysanthemum aroma the description promised. I've been brewing it gongfu style and it keeps its gentle sweetness through five infusions without turning bitter. Probably the most refined white tea
